I-coUld - Initiative for COnvergent User-centric Learning & Design

Innovation in the area of information, computer and edutainment technology revolutionizes the way people experience the world. However despite rapid advancement, the application of emerging technologies for community benefit is still limited. This initiative aims to develop human-technology interface platforms that can significantly improve living, learning and interaction with technology in Australia and around the world. Human-technology interfaces have an extremely broad area of application. They can assist in achieving improved outcomes in relation to; entertainment and creative industries, policy, education, health and services, particularly for marginalized groups. Examples include improved learning environments and information literacy, better living standards for those living with a disability or chronic diseases and enhanced knowledge exchange in policy.

Central in this initiative is the Teaching Head - this embedding of the Thinking Head in a hybrid real/virtual world is getting new job offers all the time, from primary school teacher to student, from indigenous health worker to patient, from customer care consultant to customer. The potential is enormous, but so are the challenges. This is your invitation to get involved...
